A kilowatt hour (kWh) is a unit of measurement that equals the amount of energy you would use if you kept a 1,000 watt (1kW) appliance running for an hour.
It is not a measurement of how many kilowatts you're using per hour.
An easy way of explaining this is to take our charge points as an example. A 7kw charge point would deliver 7kWh of electricity in an hour, whereas a 3.5kw charge point would take 2 hours to deliver the same amount of electricity.
