DONT PANIC...

This happens to more people than you know and is completely normal. All electric vehicles can suspend charging. The most common reason is that the battery is full, but cars can suspend charging for various reasons.

Why do cars suspend the charge when the battery is full?

Instead of stopping the charging session, cars suspend the charging session when the battery is full. This allows them to draw more energy later. This might let them defrost the screen in the morning, or let the battery management system finish charging the battery to full later (keeping batteries full or empty reduces their lifespan).

Why else do cars suspend charging?

A car might detect a fault, or consider the battery too warm to continue charging. The batteries are governed by a Battery Management System (BMS) which ensures the battery is used safely, but also protects the long term health of the battery.

Another reason for suspension is network connection

The charge point itself may occasionally loose the network connection and suspend the charge until the network connection is active again. It works just like a mobile device with a SIM card as a brain - the networks vary. It will automatically reconnect and start the charge again.
