MOST IMPORTANTLY: PLEASE ENSURE YOU FOLLOW THE PROMPTS ON YOUR DEVICE AS PER THE STEP BY STEP PROCESS WHEN USING THE CHARGE POINT.
Please find and select the charge point you'd like to use either with the char.gy ID (located on the charge point) or by searching using the map function.
- Once you're on the charge point page, you will either need to log in if you have an account or you can authorise a charge using Apple Pay / Google Pay. (If you haven't yet created an account then you can do so by following the guide linked here). You can use the char.gy App without having set up an account but please note this requires a pre-authorisation charge via Apple Pay or Google Pay (you can find out more here).
- After this, on the charge point page you should be able to press Charge and then you should see a message prompting you to Connect cable to the charge point. At this point, plug the cable into the charge point.
- The charging page will say Preparing and then ask you to please plug the cable into your car. The charging page will then ask you to Start Charge; please select this and then wait until it says Charging along with how many kWhs you've currently used. Until you see this, the car is not yet charging. You will also receive an SMS to confirm your car has started charging.
- When you are ready to finish charging please click the Finish charging and release cable button followed by Yes - finish the charge. The charge should finish and the cable should unlock. If the cable does not unlock, please refer to I can't remove the cable from the charge point.
- Please exit the app.
